Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

About Me

My name is Andy Aplikowski I am called ‘Triple_A’ by those who know me.
I live in Blaine which is in the Twin Cities metro area which is in Minnesota.
I have 2 dogs. (Now one) Back to 2 now. Rufus (7) and Lugnut (2)

I am a conservative and believe in limited government.

I was on the Blaine Park Board for 4 years until my conservative values were no longer welcomed by the City Council. I was elected Chair of Senate District 51 Republicans in 2005 and have been the Anoka Vice Chair for the 6th Congressional District Republicans since 2006.

I come from a family that has run its own businesses for decades. One could say that is how I became a conservative, or one couldn’t. I have 2 rather liberal Democrats for siblings. My mother was an elected official for half of my life, so I guess it was just natural for me to get involved. I am a rarity though, I am both a political party member/activist and a blogger. Now I can understand why most bloggers want nothing to do with political party involvement, but it is a sick twisted addiction, I guess :)

I grew up in the suburbs of the Twin Cities, graduated from High School, and attended some college in Duluth. Duluth is a tough town for a conservative. You agree with so many of the people there, but they vote against you anyway. College was not the right thing for me, we’ll just leave it at that.

I came home in 1998 to help my family run the business, as my father had been diagnosed with cancer. He died shorthly after that, and I have been working there ever since.

I’m a pretty simple guy. Maybe I’ll put more up here at a later date. I’m afraid of putting too much up here yet.
