I got here really early. I was only going to be on the second hour, so I decided to liveblog the first hour.
I think this may be the first time that this has ever been attempted. Live blogging a show from the studio.
Tony is talking about the news that Al Zaqawi’s possible death. He is wondering if America can come home now that countries are starting to stand up to al Queda.

Tony’s question. What does it mean to be a Republican?

Tony has ADD or something. He is standing up and can’t stop moving.

Torture bothers him. Is torture ok?
My answer: Yes under the proper circumstances. And with in reason.

Tony is now on to a hypothetical guy named “Mitch” who has HIV.
Ah, now I get it, he is talking about the guy who cured himself of HIV recently who wouldn’t submit himself to any other testing to see how he did it. He’s relating it to torture. Should we force/torture the guy in order to save 35 million people who are infected.

It is hard to sit here and not say anything. Plus I have to be silent, because there are 4 live mics in the studio I am in. I am only in here, because it has the best WiFi signal in the station.

Uh, I don’t agree with Murtha…I was positing a question to challenge the conservative position on Iraq. What is the TRUE purpose. Republicans have a tendency to get so focused on defending the means to a legitimate goal that the GOP sometimes loses focus on the goal.
I think you handled that hypothetical pretty well.
