This Just in, I’m not alone

Lots and lots of people from around the state are happy about my postings. I have received numerous emails thanking me for posting this information plus they have been offering many many more details on the other things that have been happening in our Republican party.
I am working to confirm some more information, but let me just say if what I have heard is true, I’d fully support calling for an emergency state central meeting to consider, as one emailer put it, “flushing the rubbish” from our party.
Stay tuned to RF for more details.
Closed Circuit to Mr. Carey: A resignation may be in order.
On another note, who should we try to encourage to be the next Chair and Deputy Chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota? Lord knows we have a lot of former elected officials now that will have a ton of free time come January.
My gut reactions are Mark Kennedy or Brian Sullivan. I can think of no finer men than those two to represent Republican values.
Oh yeah, as I said, I am working to confirm the story.

I think Mark Kennedy would be an excellent choice. His “vote for change and stay the course” strategy was pure genius. Thinking like that will certainly be needed in 2008.

I am thinking of someone like Brian LeClaire would be a good choice too….a strong principled conservative…mark kennedy not so much

Tim,
Oh, you’re right, this lets sacrifice everything for the one guy our base is unhappy with was brilliant.
MCCain-Pawlenty. That’s the ticket folks. Yeah, that will really turn out our base.

This smells of Andy desperately trying to get some action from Kennedy’s press person. I saw him eyeing her one night at Keegan’s.
Problem is that Andy couldn’t get laid in a brothel with a fist-full of twenties.
Have fun blogging in your tightie whities by yourself every night.
The fact is that Kennedy ran one of the worst campaigns in the history of the state. What a waste of $10 million — that could have won a lot of the local elections.

What’s next you paranoid nutjob. Are you going to find some conspiracy in the amount of money spent trying to defeat Betty in the 4th, or worse yet pull Barrett across the line in the 7th? (Did these guys raise any more money than a typical state house candidate?)
Please tell us you don’t wear a tinfoil hat while blogging.
Your true colors are shining through.

Closed circuit to Andy: Apparently some people who are satisfied with Carey running the party into the ground have found your blog.

Good site - we need more candor like this. Thx Andy, keep it up, you have more people who agree with you than you can ever know.

Keep up the good work Andy.
Nordstar Guy : If you’re gonna be a troll, at least post something original.

Talk about classless….we have Nordeast Guy! His people won and he still has to snark and snap at those “evil Republicans”. Here’s a tip for you….GROW UP!

LL,
No, I know that overnight there was probably a massive research into my background. They will stop at nothing in this. Just like I got savaged by Jeffers folks for defending Pawlenty, I will now get savaged by the Carey folks.
Remember everyone, Ron Carey was supposed to be the guy to give the party back to the base, and stop making all the decisions at the top. Here we have some proof that ALL the decisions were made at the top, and in fact they are telling the base to F off.
I will be lucky to survive their assault on my character, but I feel that I must move on.
I thought a lot about this. I don’t want to take down a fellow Republican, but a fellow Republican took down a bunch of very good people. this is not all about Kennedy. Jeff Johnson, Mark Kiffmeyer, Pat Anderson, Gil G, Rod Grams, Michael Barret, Obi, Fine. All great people, who no matter if they could win, deserved some sort of helop, because, you know, we the Base picked them.
I thought long and hard about going down this path, but it is the right thing to do. If I don’t do something about it, I am just as bad, aren’t I?

AAA,
I understand and appreciate why you are doing this. If we don’t ask the tough questions now, it could hurt the MNGOP in 2 years. Also if we don’t ask them now, it will be too late in 1 year. One thing to remember though, Ron Carey did manage to bring the RNC convention to the Cities. That is quite a coup. However, if the losses that the MNGOP suffered on Tuesday are the cost of gaining the convention, then the MNGOP needs to decide if getting the convention was worth the cost. These are all questions that are better asked sooner, rather than later.

I don’t understand any of this. Ron Carey has done a great job of pulling party resources together and delivering them to the campaigns. There may be somebody better, but I’m not sure that what this party needs is another upheaval at this point. As far as I’m concerned, the only thing lacking in both the state and national parties is the ability to enforce party discipline so as to enact positive, pragmatic policies reflecting core conservative principles. I know Ron Carey wants that, but right now it isn’t possible, for him or for anyone else. Let’s solve that problem first!

What planet is J. Ewing on? Ron Carey did a great job of delivering resources to the campaigns? The fact that he DIDNT is why AAA, and many others, are now calling for his head. After 2004, we dumped Ebensteiner because he neglected the rest of the party to pursue the electoral votes for Bush. This year, Carey did the same thing for Bachmann.
