Liberty Watch – Meet Me At The National Archives If It Gets Deemed
Thursday, March 18th, 2010I read the transcript of Obama tap dancing on Fox last night and have to say that it irks me that while reading it I can hear his condescending voice in my head. Bret Baier did a fantastic job trying to get the President to actually answer some questions. Look, he has had every other interview look more like T-Ball than softball. Hats off to Baier for doing what journalists are supposed to do in these situations when such drastic policies are somewhere waiting to be passed.
Oh yes, another sickening fact is that even Democrat leaders don’t really know what the actual bill says.
Rep. Edward Markey (D-Malden) said yesterday he’s leaning toward supporting the bill, but won’t officially make up his mind until he sees final language of the bill and how it will be voted upon.
That’s from a story about how one of Speaker Pelosi’s own Whip counters is probably going to vote agaist the Procedure because it is disingenuous.
The latest leftist astroturf campaign is to smear Bret Baier as evil. You’ll hear seminar callers on talk radio saying that they are Independents who think the bill doesn’t go far enough. As in they want full blown socialized/nationalized/government run single payer health care. Independent my arse.
I still think that Obama went on Fox because he knows the bill is DOA and that he wants to be able to blame Fox for it. They lied and health care died. I can see it on the Obama Air Force One campaign rally signs already. Oh wait, with his approval ratings, he may not be cleared for landing.
But that will be determined by whether this thing is slipped past the Constitution or not.
Ugh, it all makes me sick to see this happening in America.
I am still wondering if there will be clear language in the bill taht won’t be voted on to protect existing health insurance plans. As in, if anything in this bill would cause existing plans to disappear or no longer be affordable, the bill would be repealed.
Of course that won’t be in there. How else can you destroy the private health insurance industry if you don’t mandate them out of profitability?
We may need a citizen’s watch on the Constitution if they actually try to ‘Deem and Pass” this pig of a bill. Can you really call it a bill if they don’t follow proper procedure?
That may be a fun way to show our disapproval if this passes. We would have 24-7 Liberty watches at the National Archives to make sure no one sneaks in to literally shred the Constitution. Can you imagine how powerful it would be if regular citizens form a human shield around the building to show their displeasure of what Congress and the President are doing/have done?
