Posts regarding a little old cabin in Western Wisconsin.

    See ya!

Posted by Andy on 15th September 2006

I’m off for another lonely, but busy weekend at the cabin. I have a bit more soffit and fascia to do. And I also want to get 2 sides of the porch sided. Oh, and I hope to get some more of this too.

    See ya here, Sunday.

I Heard Guns Shots Round Midnight

Posted by Andy on 20th August 2006

I have no clue if it matters, or is related, but I did hear what I thought sounded like gun shots around midnight. (Strib)

Suzanne M. Weiland left her longtime boyfriend in July after a reportedly rough and abusive relationship, reunited with him just last week and this morning, was apparently killed by the same man in a fight that left their cabin “trashed.”
    Weiland didn’t go quietly.

Her brother, Patrick Weiland, said a detective with the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin described the crime scene — a small cabin along the Apple River — as “something like he’s never seen … that this was a very drawn out, physical brawl.”The detective told me that the house was trashed,” Weiland said. “I’m sure she used everything she had to fight back.”

This is by my cabin, and from what I remember from deer hunting as a kid, the gun shots I heard last night were in the right direction and about the right distance.

I had a creepy feeling about the sounds. bang bang bang…. bang bang….. bang…… bang bang bang bang

It was too loud to be fireworks since I saw no flashes anywhere close enough. Poor girl. Sick bastard.

    Update:
A special blog has been created for this topic.

I would ask that everyone continue this conversation over there.

Some one has started a blog just for this.

    Thanks,

    Wanna Talk

Posted by Andy on 20th August 2006

    I do.

It is Sunday at 4:30, and I haven’t had a conversation with a human since around this time on Friday. Rufus just doesn’t seem interested in answering my questions. (He’s a dog.)

So I am venturing out. I had a dismal weekend as far as getting stuff accomplished at the cabin. I had come down with a summer cold thingy that had been going around at work, so I slept all day Saturday. Today, I woke up late, and got swarmed by some bees so I decided I’d come home. I hate nature some days.

    Home Again

Posted by Andy on 13th August 2006

Well I’m back. I have no clue what really happened in the world when I was gone. I had a great time though with the fam. My sister, her hubby, 4 boys, and pyscho dog came up. We had a ton of fun on the lake. The oldest one is just getting to the point where tubing is fun for me, the driver. The others are still just straight and smooth riders. But the oldest, likes to get airborn. On his last ride this morning, I actually got him to clear the wake.

We watched the movie ‘Failure to Launch’ last night. My sister’s choice, so don’t hold me accountable for the language. It was a great great movie. Funny, and what not. Although the Terry Bradshaw nude scene was a bit too much.

Well, I’m up at the Fortress to catch up on current events. Stay tuned.

    Schnoopity

Posted by Andy on 11th August 2006

I am trying to get the heck out of town. I have family coming up to the cabin today. I am just cutting the video I took of the Klobuchar Edwards rally yesterday to post over at KvM. Then I have to run in to work to get some paper work done. Then I am off to the cabin, after I swing by Home Depot for some 2 X 4’s.

    So have a good weekend.

    NO I’m Not Dead

Posted by Andy on 4th August 2006

Just wiped out for the week. I’m going to be headed off to the cabin after work. Have a good weekend, and remember Al Gore is not President. Neither is John Kerry.

Hillary Clinton is disliked even with own her own party. And the whacko Democrats are cannibalizing Joe Libermann who agrees with them on just about every single issue other than Iraq.

I think life is pretty grand right now. I’m just dead tired, and worn out.
