A Windfall Of FAIL
Remember my rant about the Anoka windmill not windmilling?
Well, turns out that it wasn’t quite ready yet, they hadn’t finsihed fiddling with it yet. But take a look at the future of power generation in the Midwest folks.
Cold keeps Minn. wind turbines from spinning
Wind turbines placed in cities across Minnesota to generate power aren’t working because of the cold temperatures.
The Minnesota Municipal Power Association bought 11 turbines for $300,000 each from a company in Palm Springs, Calif.
Special hydraulic fluid designed for colder temperatures was used in the turbines, but it’s not working, so neither are the turbines.
There is a plan to heat the fluid, but officials must find a contractor to do the work.
It is too cold for the windmills. Brilliant, just brilliant.
Of for some reason I see the need for a few billion dollars in rapid federal funding coming our way. Better raise that debt limit again Sen. Klobuchar. We need you to create some new green jobs that will figure out what the heck is wrong with all the green power. Better yet, why don’t we hire unemployed people to spin the windmills?
