Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

A FAIL Of Congressional Proportions

If you are a member of Congress, staffer for one, a Political party leader, staffer, strategist, or media talking head this is incredibly bad news for you. Some high lights, or lowlights depending on whether you earn an honest living or not.

But the new findings are not necessarily good news for Republican incumbents who are acutely aware of so-called “Tea Party” challenges on the right. Only 15% of Republicans who plan to vote in 2012 state primaries think the party’s representatives in Congress have done a good job of representing GOP values.

Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters find it unlikely that the current Congress will seriously address the most important issues facing our nation.

Most voters also think the news media has too much power over their elected representatives in Washington and the decisions they make.

And please call the Minnesota members of Congress. Pelosi and Obama are short of the votes to pass their Health Care takeover bill and are twisting arms. MoveOn has threatened radical primary challengers for anyone who votes against it. We need to threaten them with a pink slip if they vote for it.

Folks, this is important, make sure you members of Congress votes no!

Pelosi will call the vote this weekend if she can force enough Democrats to side with her and Obama’s radical agenda. Please remind them who they really work for.

Or I suppose you could be revited by how Mayors Rybak and Coleman are….

  1. J. Ewing says:

Don’t waste time calling our Republican reps, they’re rock solid on this issue. Reportedly, 100% of them are. This is the “re-branding” of the Party we’ve been looking for; our candidates and elected officials are the ones best able to do it. We ought to support them, and the Party apparatus that stands behind them, at every opportunity. If you want to call and THANK Kline, Bachmann, and Paulsen, feel free.

  2. DJZ says:

    “re-branding”?
To what? The Party of ‘no’. They have been rock solid against the President’s agenda and still -”73% of GOP Voters Say Congressional Republicans Have Lost Touch With Their Base”.

Your party has a lot of issues and it may be that saying no is not enough or, it may be the wrong answer. Try yes.
