Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

Not All Dirt Is Fit For EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS ALERTZ, Even If It Is About Dusty Trice

Lightbr1.gif

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree now does it.

Hey, did you know David Letterman might make Bill Clinton look like husband, employer, and father of the Millennium?

Great, what’s that going to do with advancing conservatism or setting liberalism a step or two back?

With the exclusivity of a Kiss coverband and the originality of Milli Vanili, the folks at MDE were fed a bill of goods no one else really cared to buy. Well, some of us were fed this dirt months ago, but decided it wasn’t really worth the flashing lights and we’re kinda glad we didn’t scream stop the presses that scumbag is a dirt bag (or vice versa) at the top of our keyboard lungs.

Trice is about as valuable to society as jock itch. I’m sorry, but stalkerazzi blogging and political ambush viral journalism is like dumping acid into the political melting pot of America. Politicians are unable to have candid moments with constituents and supporters because people like Trice have a camera on them damn near 24 – 7 and WILL use each and every word against them, whether in context or not.People with legitimate questions meant in good faith are being run out of the debate, and all because some people have a website and think they are the most important think to come along since David (vs Goliath), nevermind the million dollar organizations that support, logistically and informationally, the entire operation. Oh I know, that’s a different story.

We’re losing the ability to have a serious debate about the policies that are best or have failed in America, because their is always another blogger being fed dirt by a party staffer, angry insider, or gad fly who just wants everyone to like them. The public is suspect at everything because the climate for online debate is being poisoned by this gotchya crap.

I suppose since I eluded to Trice’s dark past 6 (SIX) months ago, I should also deserve a little ire, but I didn’t see the need to run a post entirely about it, making new mountains out of a 4 year old mole hill. It was an also appeared in one of my stories on something else, complete with dispatching comments by me that the people feeding me the crap were overreacting because Trice was a shadow lurker at best. Sure, it made for some fun in some email chains, but I didn’t run to the presses to air this publicly available dirt about an opposing political hack just because someone sent it to me and it was juicy.

I will pretty much make sure I never end up in a situation where pleasantries between myself and Trice will have to take place, let alone words of any kind, but that doesn’t mean I am going to stoop to his level. But then again, that is what some blogs or groups of people seem to think is a worthy cause.

Advice:

Ignore the dbag stalkerazzi and lefty bloggers and eventually so will everyone else. Sure they will be on Soros’ short list for stipends and the media matters folks will make sure Olberdick and Matthews get a copy, but it isn’t worth it in my mind to give them the attention they clearly don’t deserve, based on publicly available records, of course. If and when Dusty Trice becomes famous or taken seriously as a reporter, then we can bring up his past indiscretions, but until he is anything but a creepy dude with terrible fashion sense, just let sleeping dogs lie.

  1. Silence Dogood says:

The straw poll voting rules were changed at the recent Minnesota GOP convention, which resulted in the front-runner, Marty Seifert, being penalized. The rules were changed so that if you voted for a gubernatorial candidate as your 1st choice you were forbidden to vote for that same gubernatorial candidate as your 2nd choice. Thus, Marty Seifert had the most “ineligible” ballots on the 2nd choice, because he was so popular as delegate’s 1st choice. See the below chart for details.
