Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

McCullom = Unpartisan

I guess she feels safe to speak the mind of most Washington Democrats.

McCollum: Sick and tired of bipartisanship talk on health care bill

Read the rest if you must, but those of us grounded in common sense and also living outside of the DC and political beltways know that the problems in America all seem to boil down to something Government tried to do.

Real health care reform wouldn’t be shadow bills aimed simply at opening the door for a government takeover. Real reform wouldn’t be more mandates, but rather true competition. Real reform wouldn’t be taxation and penalties.

What McCollum and Democrats in Washington want to pass is the perfect proof of what cooperation looks like in their version of politics, either agree with our narrow vision and nanny state agenda, or we’ll call you the enemy.

It is too bad that people who happen to fall to the right of Chairman Mao and Stalin in MN’s 4th District can’t have any say in their own futures. But then again, this is what you get for electing a “Progressive”.

Freedom, liberty, self determination, not in McCullom’s America.

  1. Silence Dogood says:

    The straw poll voting rules were changed at the recent Minnesota GOP convention, which resulted in the front-runner, Marty Seifert, being penalized. The rules were changed so that if you voted for a gubernatorial candidate as your 1st choice you were forbidden to vote for that same gubernatorial candidate as your 2nd choice. Thus, Marty Seifert had the most “ineligible” ballots on the 2nd choice, because he was so popular as delegate’s 1st choice. See the below chart for details.
