Bachmann Paul TH
I’m starting to make my way down for the event.
Update:
So I am at a little pre event deal and I see Nathan hansen is here. I’ll remain civil and take my usual tactic of public events and find my corner to stand in.
We’re going to get to meet both bachmann and Paul before the big deal.
And oh joy Jungbauer is here too. Time to find a darker corner.
People in the room glad to see me here. (This was sarcasm)
Looking
Looking
Looking
Oh gee a mirror. No wait, nope, no one is glad I am here, myself included.
It’s hot and I don’t think I belong here. Oh well. I got a free coke.
(side note in case anyone took a picture. I grabbed bad jeans. Note to self : throw these jeans away when you get home. The fly doesn’t stay zipped. Ahhhh the fun of moving. What was in the back of the closet is now in the front.)
Update.
So yeah. Nathan hansen isn’t bashful. Came right up and bragged about his lawsuit.
Update: I think a protology exam would have been more comfortable. You know this is the kind of crap that makes me wonder why I try.
Yes you see some good people. But yet others that you didn’t think could get any lower.
Huh I just found out where the after party is. (The staffers are going out. NOTHING wrong with that. But someone, a certain someone, was thrilled to be told where. Should I do them a favor and disable their commenting ability? )
Event has begun……..
We’re watching a video. It’s a play on obama’ I pledge celeb deal. Only this is one with regular people talking about why they love America and why she is so great not why oBama rox.
Bachmann has now taken the stage to a standing ovation.
Ron Paul is now on stage. Bacmann gave a great speech.
I see Kare 11 has their story up already. Too bad they didn’t listen to the speech. Woulda made thier coverage of this more , shall we say, factually acurrate.
And now we end this monetary speech for an antiwar rant.
And I’m ready to walk out.
Update:
Home now. I did leave after that. Someone in the back yelled out inside job when Paul was talking about the Patriot Act and September 11th. It makes me so proud to know the Republican Party and Bachmann co-sponsored this event. Not! I know they can’t control what people say. But well. What did you expect?
Bachmann’s speech was great. She focused on fiscal and monetary issues.
As for the rest of the experiences? I could have done with out pretty much everything before or after her speech.
Oh and I think I am getting called into the Principal’s office next week. Andy may be getting the boot. We’ll see how that goes.
For people who may have followed this live, sorry about the spelling and goofy format. It is something that happens when I post from my iPhone. I know, I know, twitter. Old dog here. Anyways, I think I have it all cleaned up now and added some stuff for clarity and effect.
Now I am going to veg in my lonely home. Throwing a movie in, hmmm, maybe it is a Serenity night.

Thank you for this post AAA. It was one of the most unintentionally hilarious things I’ve ever read.
If the GOP is going to have any success they are going to have to make room in the tent for people who don’t support every war the US is fighting. If you want to hear someone beat the drum of war, go to an Obama speech. He’s increased personnel (contractors) in Iraq and now they’re talking about 500,000 more people in Afghanistan. We can’t afford this empire.
Ron Paul maybe a wimpy little cut and runner but at least he’s a veteran. Unless you’ve actually worn a uniform and taken up arms in defense of freedom, you shouldn’t be walking out on a veteran.
Until you earn the right to criticize a veteran by serving, sit down and shut up.
John Murtha is a veteran, John Kerry is a veteran.
Benedict Arnold, Timothy McVeigh, Lee Harvey Oswald all veterans.
This nonsense about unless you have served you don’t get to comment.
How many years did Ron Paul serve on the Federal Reserve?
Until he does, he does not have the right to criticizing it.
I absolutely agree that the idea unless you have been a part of something you cannot criticize is incomprehensible. By that ‘logic’ should we all quit criticizing the government and politicians because we are not or have not been politicians? That is what we would call in Logic class ‘an invalid argument’.
I personally have nothing but utmost respect for veterans, however, if any of the ones I do know well would say something I disagree with they are fully aware that I will call them on it. I would do that with anyone, regardless of group affiliation.
It’s sad that there’s not more respect for the troops on this blog. You people have a lot to learn about freedom.
As a veteran you should understand the meaning of the word freedom. Being a veteran doesn’t mean that people automatically have to agree with you. It is freedom that allows us all to have our own opinions.
Freedom, I respect Vets for their service as vets. Sometimes the respect ends there. Murtha is one guy who used his vet status in aiding the war in Iraq to be run by politicians, and not generals. Oh well, I guess that some people have learned nothing from the mistakes of Viet Nam.
Andy, I think that both you and Nathan have learned a thing or two about the potential fallout from spontaneous rants. Both Pual and Hansen have some wacky ideas that are not going to make the GOP platform. However that both have some ideas that are worth listening to. Libertarians are much closer to the Republicans that Democrats, why not allow them a place in the tent?

ROFLMAO!!!
Today’s republiCons (FEC Tony, MudSlingerMike, et al) don’t even let Republicans in the tent, WT(C) makes you think they’d let PaulBots in??!?
Oh, wait – http://www.DustyTrice.com answered that – money. And lots of it…..

The difference between AAA and Mitch Berg, is AAA has the courage of his convictions. Mitch Berg is just a (cheney)in’ bootlicker, who bends over when Brodkorb demands.
Eisenhower was a Republican.. and a bit of a soldier if I remember correctly..LOL
He warned us of the dangers of the military industrial complex…

Sometimes the voices from the past make far more sense than the bloggers of the present. Especially those who know far more about the inner workings of war and government than all of us put together…
You believe what you want Andy.. Ike sure didnt think it was Un American to warn us in his farewell address… I guess you would call him a pussy un-American as well…
You do realize Bachmann’s ‘great speech’ was what Paul’s been talking about for years, right? She’s brand new to this audit the fed stuff; if it wasn’t for Paul, she’d still have no clue.
