Why Yes, That Is A Gun……

As I Tweeted, I went to the Carry BBQ down at Lake Harriet, it was quite fun and despite a couple dozen people carrying, no one got hurt. We got a few looks from some passers by and I guess one lady tried calling the cops on us, but for not. The BBQ organizers had alerted the Police prior and we were all legally permitted…. We were just people enjoying the nice weather, socializing, and watching people capsize their sailboats. It was like we weren’t even there.

This was my first public carrying and I was pretty nervous at first. But then I got comfortable. It was also pretty cool to see Rep. Tom Emmer there. I had a chance to talk to him for a while. Then my lovely girlfriend and I went to see Transformers, and I carried to that. And guess what, no one knew and no one got hurt. Safety first, but a gun does not violence make.

Oh and I should add that I carried concealed.
