So let me get this straight.
One one side, you have every climatologist on Earth.
On the other side, you have a whack-job congresswoman and a lobbyist from the coal industry.
That should be quite a debate, all right.
And on the other hand you have the 10,000 plus lakes of Minnesota that may or may not have been created by receding glaciers………..
Oh, if only you knew how many people think Al Gore is the whacko nut job who is misleading the world. Heck even your “climatologist” in chief, James Hanson from NASA has been caught lying about studies and findings.

What do the 10,000 lakes of Minnesota or receding glaciers have to do with it?
Either the average global ocean temperatures have been rising over the last half-century, or they haven’t been. Either the temperatures are rising because of increased CO2 in the atmosphere, or they aren’t.
You and Bachmann and the other evangelical nutcases can’t possibly believe that there was an ice age that ended about 10,000 years ago anyway, since you believe — and often claim during the “intelligent design” debates — that the earth was only created 6,000 years ago.
Furthermore, how can you claim to have evidence for an ice age when you also claim that all the sciences that prove the Earth is billions of years old – geology, chemistry, climatology, biology, genetics — is part of a liberal plot to deny God’s rightful place in the universe?
You can believe science is B.S., but don’t pretend you’re involved in a scientific debate.
If you don’t understand that, you have no authority whatsoever to claim or disclaim any one as an expert on climate or its changes. No matter how many insults and distractions into the argument.
The data proves you’re wrong, or at the very least, not correct. Al Gore’s movie is not fact. Just because hollywood nut jobs and those that stand to profit from teh results of environmental legislation say it is so, it doesn’t make it so.
You seem to think Al Gore devised the idea of global warming. He didn’t.
Global warming is either true or false. Al Gore’s opinion, or Michelle Bachmann’s opinion, doesn’t matter.
You still haven’t answered how you can believe there is scientific evidence against global warming when you don’t believe that the sciences of geology, chemistry, climatology, biology, or genetics are valid.

When did I deny global warming? Heck the point that you ‘vomited a talking point at, the 10,000 lakes line, is proof that maybe I happen to believe a whole lot more about global warming then you do. The only problem? I happen to understand that the world is ever changing and it has been happening a heck of a lot longer then since the evil automobile or smoke stack were invented.

Again: the overwhelming scientific consensus is that the earth is warming because of rising CO2 levels because of the burning of fossil fuels. All the scientific evidence points to it. And what do you have? A Time magazine article from the 70s? Get serious.
You’ve refused to answer the question I posted above, so let me give you an easier one.

The Earth’s climate has been changing —– forever. We’ve had ice ages, we’ve had hot spells. Gee, i think there was even a gigantic one about 8 years ago in the US. Dust bowl come to mind? Then we can take a look at what created the rivers and lakes in MN. Glaciers? Giant sheets of ice that move around the Earth? Clearly this must have happened long before the advent of SUVs and smoke stacks.
Again, you don’t realize that your argument has evolved over time to get to the same ends. An end to life as we know it. Where you can no longer buy or sell whatever you want or people would buy – or live how you want to live. This is all about control. James Hanson admitted he fudged the numbers. Thousands of scientists have objected to the whole “the debate is over” aspect. Science never rests.
I’m not denying that the Earth is changing, it always has been, it is right now, and it will no matter what we do. But solar activity is at a record low, and for some reason the temps are down. Could volcanoes affect the global climate more then admitted?
What you so passionately seem to be embracing is to stop the natural and repeated climate shifts, that the weather of today will be this way for ever. Seems to me someone may be trying to play god, and its tool of the trade is….. government.
I’m sorry, I’m not ready to let bureaucrats and Government march in and create a new central planning committee that will decide who is the biggest polluter and who should receive their “permit” money.
I think since you seem to drag religion into it in such vile ways, maybe you should just go watch an inconvenient truth and feel good about caring. That is all this crap is about. if this was for real, and CO2 was as bad as it is being portrayed, and the sole result of man, then we’d be shutting off the factories and smoke stacks. Here’s the difference between you (liberal) and me (freedom loving American) I don’t think Government should dictate how people live or even worse, force people to pay simply to pursue happiness. That’s the whole point of this. I do not believe Government has the right to do any of what is being proposed to “stop” global warming. You can argue all you want about the biased and preconceived notions by those who stand to profit most from global warming being true, but it still doesn’t mean that Government can or should do something. And then I throw into the whole idea, the things I see with my own eyes. colder winters, stories of ice coming back, the ozone holes are closed……. I know, I don’t have a piece of paper showing I am a smarte PHD, but that doesn’t mean I have to bow down to those who have them……
And that gets us back to the point of where you and I have different definitions of higher beings.

It appears some who feel/believe strongly in Global Warming know little of the opposing debate points.
They warrant discussion and consideration.
Data and theories need to be given fair due, scientifically.
It is not enough to just cynically question the motive and disregard the hypothesis.
For example there is a list of scientist’s, (not every) climatologists and others of note who have legitimate questions yet answered by those I refer to as carbonophobes.
