DFL – Nothing To Escape Tax Increases & Nothing You Can Do To Stop It

The DFL has announced another tax increase proposal today, this time, they’re going to let local cities raise taxes with out voter approval. yes, you read that right, it will be up to citizens to gather signatures to require a vote on a local sales tax levy. 

The DFL is green lighting tax increases on economic activity during a recession. Yes, sales taxes are repressive and when a local municipality raises theirs, it harms all their citizens and businesses. 

And what’s worse, this is what they say to people who are unemployed and facing tough decisions in their personal finances.

“If I’m a homeowner and I’ve lost a job, I have more control over a sales tax that I pay than the property taxes I pay. Property taxes are fixed. Sales tax, I can decide what I want to do by what I purchase.”

Complete and total disrespect for citizens. They really do look at us as ATMs who are supposed to fund government, not live our lives. 
Remember, this is the Party that is proposing to remove Property tax caps on top of raising just about every tax under the sun, and then some.
