The Huckster Piles On Latest RINO-fad, Palin Bashing
Mike Huckabee takes a page out of his hero’s playbook. He’s figured out how John McCain got the nomination and the Huckster is getting right to work for 2012. I still remember that shear look of joy on McCain’s face when he was hammering Romney unfairly in that California debate. He took more pleasure in that then any one thing regarding Obama rhetoric in the main event.Â
And now Huckabee is going after Palin.Â
Â
“There were a lot of unfair things. Sexist things that would never have been asked of a male candidate.†He pauses. “Now I must say I did not think that either the Charlie Gibson interview or the Katie Couric interviews were unfair. In fact, if anything, Katie Couric was extraordinarily gentle, even helpful. [Palin] just…I don’t know what happened. I can’t explain it. It was not a good interview. I’m being charitable.â€
He pauses. “I think it was overpreparation. She’d been hammered by McCain’s aides, ‘Say this, don’t say that.’â€
Huckabee has met Palin a few times and talked to her backstage at the Republican National Convention.
“Did you give her any advice?â€
“I didn’t figure that she was shopping for my advice.â€
“But she sure was shopping.â€
Â
The worse aftermath of the 2008 POTUS sweepstakes may be how Mike Huckabee now has a national voice in Republican politics and as a purported full blown conservative.Â
Nuff said.

Well, all I have to say is figuring out how to win the nomination is half the battle. If you want a “true” conservative in 2012 you’d better hope they figure out the secret soon as well, because otherwise you may as well just get used to seeing Huckabee.
I said more than once that Huckabee wouldn’t be a first tier presidential candidate without the media’s help. I’ve also called him a pro-life socialist. I stand by my opinion.
