Pizzazz – Michele Bachmann vs. Dull – Tinklenberg
The PiPress has a pretty good write up about Congresswoman Bachmann. Check it out.Â
They also did one for Tinlenberg. And despite him giving the liberal talking point for being Pro-Choice they let him slide in saying -
”I’m pro-life, but I’m not out to overturn Roe (the Supreme Court’s declaration of abortion as legal). … The idea that if we overturn Roe, the issue is going to be solved is simply not the case.” Instead, he says his goal is to reduce abortions through better planning, education and counseling, including preventing unwanted pregnancies.”
Case in point:
He happens to sound a lot like Pro-Choice Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar who was well supported by the Pro-Abortion group Emily’s List.Â
We need to start talking about common ground, and about reducing the number of abortions — making them safe and making them rare. That decision should be made between a woman and her doctor.
Look, you can’t say you’re pro-life if you aren’t really pro-life. It sounds nice to say he will work to reduce unplanned pregnancies. I would hope every person/lawmaker would do that. But will he support restrictions on the barbaric procedure known as partial birth abortion? Does he support taxpayer funding for abortions?Â
He does openly support universal health care. That would mean government would be paying for health care for lots of people. Perhaps, a single payer system eventually.Â
Would, under Tinklenberg’s healthcare plan, taxpayers be paying for abortions?
Ya can’t have it both ways Elwyn.

Under the Freedom of Choice act, Federal funding of abortions is inevitable. FOCA makes abortion not just a right but an entitlement. If he supports this, along with Barack Obama and most of the rest of a Democrat majority, his feelings about Roe v. Wade are pretty irrelevant. The issue is no longer pro-life or pro-choice in the abstract. It’s will we all have to participate in the promotion of abortion, with our tax dollars and our health care premiums and will we be greeting our newborns in hospitals with abortions taking place right down the hall.
