The following is an email I just sent out to activists in my area. I encourage you to pass it along or modify it and use it for your own area. 

Hello all,

I’m going to be honest here. We all need to pull together now in this election. We have 11 days now until election day with thousands of phone calls to make, thousands of doors to knock, and tens of thousands of like minded voters to get to the polls. 

Can you give just 4 hours now to make sure the next 2 years aren’t living under the iron fist of the Democrats?

Can you give just 4 hours now to make sure we have principled Republicans fighting for us? 

I know, the whole ‘lesser of 2 evils’ thing is a terrible argument and that is not what I am saying. I hate that too, but here’s the deal, we don’t have to do that this time.

I will stake my reputation that those Republicans will vote for you 95% of the time. The only person who can do better is you. 

Given what Democrats have openly pledged to do if elected, we need as many conservatives as possible to to be at the table to keep Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Senator Reid from going through their socialist agenda and checking off item after item as accomplished. 

Every year people say to you, “this is the most important election…….” 

Well, this one is incredibly important. 

Our economy is in a bad funk. The stock market doesn’t know which way is up. Jobs are dwindling. Energy prices are low now, but only because world demands are down from the global economic slump. When it turns around, and it will sooner or later, you will see $4 gas again since the Democratically controlled Congress hasn’t done anything to relieve our dependence on foreign oil. 

And that’s why I want to remind you about Sanders, Balcom, Matthews, Davis White, and Bachmann. I promise you those 5 Republicans will fight for a better America by solving the real problems we face. That problem, isn’t that Government hasn’t done enough. The people and free market businesses in this country can solve the problems we face, if Government would just get out of the way. 

Are you willing to fight for these 5 candidates so they will fight for you?

I’m sure you have all seen the clip of Democrat Presidential candidate Barrack Obama telling Joe the plumber that he wants to spread the wealth around. Oh sure, it “sounds” great, but it is socialism. I can tell you first hand, that the tax policies of the Democrats will force my company, one of those small businesses that Obama will tax more, to do something to offset the new increased taxes and regulatory burden. 

We won’t, no we can’t, just absorb the added tax burden. We have already been absorbing the high energy prices. The new mandates, and the battle with inflation lowering th value of the dollar, and high energy prices. We have been dealing with all the regulatory mandates and unfunded employment requirements like health care. yes, we do provide health care, but we can’t continue to absorb the increases and still have annual pay raises. 

And that’s the point. I know this is very long, and I hope you are still reading this and will pass this along to your friends. This is really what is at stake in this election.  

If the rich and businesses are taxed as Obama and Democrats pledge to do, my business, your business, or the one you work for, will have only a few options. They are the same options businesses all across this country will have to face. The same problems most of your employers will face. Basically, our entire economy will have to face these very simple, but painful choices if Democrat are in control of our Government. 

Keep this in mind, businesses don’t pay taxes. 

When Obama becomes President (shudder) and he raises taxes on the rich and businesses, we will either:

A) raise our prices. 

Effect: Consumers (that’s average Joe Americans; That’s YOU) will have to pay more for goods and services just because of what Obama calls ‘fairness’ and “spreading the wealth around”

B) Cut overhead

Effect: That’s your pay, benefits, or job altogether. Yep the worker Obama promises to ‘help’. Any business that hasn’t already streamlined expenses in this economy is an anomaly and an enigma. Payroll and benefits are the biggest line item for just about every business. Energy and utilities is second. Taxes, income, corporate, or property are next.  No more health care increases absorbed. No more pay raises. And quite possibly, no more job for you. The ever growing Government is literally taxing you out of cheaper consumer goods and services, not to mention possible a job. 

Does that sound good for you and your family, or would you like to do something to prevent that? 

Now let’s not forget our economy is in or near full fledged recession. Can you imagine actually punishing businesses anymore? No seriously, can you believe the Democrats are actually promising to raise taxes right now with the economy already teetering as it is? 

If they get unchecked power, all bets are off. At this point, we have to take them at their word. The risks are far too great to.  They will govern by the lowest common denominator and punish success. 

And that’s why we all need to band together for the sake of our state and nation. 

Please, please, please, give us at least 4 hours in the next 11 days.

We also need to go door to door to make sure voters who think like us actually show up to vote. If you don’t like making calls, and I know exactly how that feels, I don’t like making them either. We need people to go out and drop lit. It is easy and painless. We need people to volunteer.

The only person that can represent you 100% of the time is you. I can garantee that Franken, Obama-Biden , Tinklenberg, MacCollum, Ellison, Tinglbery, and Hamilton will not be looking out for your values, your principles, and your bottom line.

Please, spare us 4 hours to spare you 2 years of liberal socialist hell.
