Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

From The INBOX: Remember The Stakes

A very good friend sent me a link to this YouTube ad this morning.

Given what is going on the campaign’s domestic front, this is a good reminder of the real stakes in this election.

Somebody explain to me how fighting the Vietnam war was fighting for my freedom. 55,000 Americans and countless Vietnamese died for nothing. We were told we had to stop communism in Vietnam before it spread here. We lost the war yet it did not spread here. By the way that war was started on a lie by LBJ. (see Gulf of Tonkin)

This young man talks about fighting for Iraqi’s freedom. Is that why we went into Iraq???????? I thought it was because of WMD’s?

What other countries that deny their people freedoms should we invade? I hear the English, Canadians and Australians have had their freedom to bear arms drastically reduced. Maybe we should invade all three countries?
I will not vote for either major party candidate as both are for nationalizing our financial systems and continuing in trying to police the world. Neither believe in the free markets or limited government. I have to say that conservatives voting for McCain really show that they do not operate on principles, only fear of the perceived greater evil.

McCain’s mortgage buy out plan is a good conservative idea?
