Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

Tinklenberg ~ Franken, Walz, & Peterson Hate ‘Mainstreet’, Kick Baby Seals, Steal Candy From Babies

One has to deduce that 6th District Congressional candidate Democrat El Tinklenberg would say the same thing about Democrats who voted against the massive government power grab and $810 Billion pork filled bailout bill, which by the way seems to have done absolutely nothing to calm the markets or bring confidence to the economy.

But that doesn’t stop MPR from getting the assist on the hacktackular purely partisan cheap shot attack that El Tinklenberg threw at Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R MN6).

No one is pleased that we now have to use taxpayer dollars to help fix this mess. But Rep. Bachmann’s two ‘no’ votes on last week’s economic rescue bills demonstrate an unwillingness to put the needs of Main Street before her own political reputation.

Feel free to read the rest if you want to see the latest Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s  talking points to be used against incumbent Republicans who stood up for the little guys down here on the real “mainstreet”.

Come on MPR. You can’t throw a link like that in your daily digest and let Tinklenberg get away with such a blatant partisan cheap shot with out providings the facts to expose just how partisan Tinklenberg really is.

Oh where to begin?

First, off the bill clearly seems to have done absolutely nothing to calm Wall street.

Second, Democrat Congressmen Tim Walz and Colin Peterson both voted right along with Bachmann both times.

Third, Democrat US Senate candidate Al Franken has been hammering Sen. Norm Coleman for voting for the bill and said he would oppose it.

Fourth, the bill was opposed in a non-partisan fashion. 63 Democrats voted against the bill.

Either Democrat Tinklenberg feels the same way about even the Democrats who voted against and opposed the bailout bill, or this is just a sleazy partisan hatchet job from Washington Democrat strategists but regurgitated by Democrat Tinklenberg.

The RF Truth squad gives MPR’s Polinaut a big fat FAIL for journalistic integrity and impartiality.

6th District residents beware. The only “mainstreet” Democrat Tinklenberg cares about is the one he can lobby Congress to get taxpayers to pay for, so his special interest friends can get rich off your hard earned dollars.

Oh wait, I forgot Democrat Tinklenberg also likes it when government rips up “mainstreet” in order to put in choo choo trains that his special interest friend want and profit from, which end up costing taxpayers billions of dollars and makes congestion even worse for them.
