“I am proud to have earned the NRA’s endorsement,” said Bachmann. “It’s been an honor to support Minnesota’s strong sportsmen’s heritage and to preserve the rights of law-abiding gun owners in Congress.”
In their endorsement letter, the NRA noted Bachmann’s support for the Second Amendment Enforcement Act, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Reform and Firearms Modernization Act, and the historic amicus curiae for the Supreme Court’s Heller case.
“Based on your solidly pro-gun/pro-hunting voting record in Congress, as well as your responses to our federal candidate questionnaire, you have earned an ‘A’ rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF,” wrote Chuck Cunningham, NRA Director of Federal Affairs. “We urge our members and all other gun owners and sportsmen in the 6th Congressional District of Minnesota to vote for you beginning October 6th thru November 4th.”
