Bachmann “There’s Not Enough Lipstick To Dress Up This Pig” – Update
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R MN6) was just on FOX News’ America’s Newsroom and said that about this bailout bill that passed the US Senate last night. She also pointed out the fact that Democrats have run both Houses of Congress, have majorities in both Houses, and can pass this bill if they really wanted to all by themselves.Â
But, especially with Speaker Pelosi in the House whose Majority is at risk since they all have to face voters in just one month, Democrats needs Republicans on board to bail them out and give them political cover. (They everyone did it defense) The American people hate the idea of giving Wall Street a blank check and would surely remember who voted and how on election day. Democrats know that so they are buying Republican votes with hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks and pet projects so they can guilt Republicans into voting for the bill. And let’s not forget who stopped us from preventing this mess.Â
The bi-partisanly passed C.Y.A. Financial Rescue Bailout Bill of 2008 is forcing American voters to reserve blame for the cause of the $700 Billion bailout bill since both parties will have voted for it. If this thing passes as is, and there is no investigation into how this whole mess was created and made worse by Washington interventionists, there will be no accountability, nor firewall created to prevent a future crisis.
The House is likely to vote on the bill before the weekend, make sure you contact your member of Congress and let them know that they don’t have to vote for this bill, and that you don’t want them to bailout such reckless business people.Â
You can find your member of Congress and send them a message by going here. If the House email and server system crashes, as it has been due to the overwhelming number of Americans getting involved to stop this fiscal insanity, you can call the switchboard and ask to speak with your Representative.
