(Ahem!) Democrats Control The Pursestrings In Congress

This is kinda a short article by the Strib, but I never fail to point out this very important fact heading into the 2008 elections.
WASHINGTON - Federal budget deficit soars in July, pushed higher by stimulus payments, failed banks
Obviously it is a partial story that didn’t cpmpetely make it through the intertubes, but again, DEMOCRATS CONTROL THE PURSESTRINGS OF CONRESS RIGHT NOW.
President Bush can’t spend a dime with out Congress first passing the bills. Democrats hold both gavels in their iron fists.
DEMOCRATS ARE INCREASING THE DEFICIT WITH HANDOUT AFTER HANDOUT!
