  • Wow, Wow, Wow - Tinklenberg Supporter/Big Donor - Learn From China?

Posted by Andy on August 8th, 2008

Wow, wow, wow, is right. I left the following comment on a St. CLoud Times Your Turn commentary piece trying to attack Rep. Bachmann with talkingpoints. It is a pretty weak piece and I just couldn’t help myself.

Wow, Wow, wow, that’s a lot of facts, but there are a couple missing.

Mr. Sullivan also happens to be a large donor to former MNDOT Commissioner Democrat El Tinklenberg.

Plus all the facts Mr. Sullivan listed add up to one critical thing. They isn’t enough energy for America. We need more Energy. If we increase our domestic supplies, we won’t be dependent on foreign sources. Right now we’re not able to do that.

Oh and China is only temporarily shutting factories and banning the usage of automobiles. Basically they have told their exploding middle class to take a vacation from the real world and stop living the way they want. China has a well documented history of brutal and dictator behavior where the freedoms and liberties are rationed by the Communist Government.

Is Mr. Sullivan advocating that the American Government adopt the tactics and policies of the Chinese Government? Frankly the only thing to learn from how China deals with freedom and liberty is how not to do it.
