  • Pawlenty - Throwing Unity And A Common Message Aside For Personal Gain, AGAIN!!!!

Posted by Andy on August 5th, 2008

Sounds about right for Governor Pawlenty.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Republican Party is “too cynical.” Its ideas are “fatigued.” In short, the GOP has “a problem as a party” in the political marketplace.

In a speech to the National Press Club, Tim Pawlenty rekindles his love affair of throwing stones at traditional conservative Republican values.

And some people are naive enough to believe this man isn’t trying to woo John McCain. He will say and do anything he needs to if it will get him ahead in the polls.

Let’s see if we have this straight. Obama is on the ropes. American public is waking up and realizing liberal policies are damaging the American economy…… And McCain sends Pawlenty out to give the we’re not conservative Republicans speech????????????????

(Insert Sam Kinison Ohhh, OHHHHHHHH, OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH screech)

I happen to be of the opinion that there is ‘Pawlenty’ of blame to go around for the unfavorability of conservatism right here in Pawlenty’s own Minnesota.

I’m sorry, but the day someone like Pawlenty or McCain turns the Party of Reagan into the party of spend, spend, spend, fee, fee, fee, anything to win an election is the day that I, Andy A. Aplikowski, have taken my last breathe. I will not stand for someone throwing traditional conservative values THAT MADE AMERICA GREAT AND THE SHINING BEACON FOR ALL THE WORLD overboard for their own personal gain.

I know this is the worst time for me to rehash my grievances with Pawlenty, but he started it. Our Party was just beginning to regain its momentum. Republicans in Congress have woken up and realized what ails the party is the moderation and trying to rename liberal policies. Pawlenty has set the party here back a generation here in Minnesota with his “better” BS. But regardless, things were looking up nationally and grassroots activists were getting off the couch and willing to work. And here comes Pawlenty again to demoralize the base of the party.

Oh sure he won in 06, but with his win and his insistence on redefining Republicanism to fit his need, we lost seats in the Legislature. Those with the power at the time did nothing to save the party or other members of the party who got run over by the PAwlenty reelection bus. Our Government has grown and the Governor has committed the tax payers of this state to liberal dream policies that we will never be able to take away.

You know, last night I was talking with a fellow blogger and conservative activist and I said that we were starting to galvanize the grassroots again. But in one failed speech Pawlenty has tried to undo that, again. And all so HE can leave Minnesota and more importantly the conservatives here, with the fond memory of his taillights as he heads to DC.

Oh and all the goodwill and respect I have regained of late with my blogging behavior within Party circles is probably now in jeopardy due to this post, but so is this state and this nation with the ideas Pawlenty is trying to make into a reality.

We don’t need to redefine Republicanism into liberal light. We don’t need to redefine what we believe in order to win elections. We don’t need to pander to the polls. We need to stand up and do what is right for this state and this nation. The liberal Policies PAwlenty wants Republicans to embrace are unsustainable. Freedom and liberty must be revoked for his plans. Free markets must no longer be free, and Government must always have its way/say in the way we mere citizens live our lives.

Damn it Tim! We need to get populist Republican politicians out of the way of the passionate and dedicated grassroots so that we can begin educating the people of this state and nation why liberal policies and big government are so dang dangerous to the survival of our Republic.

You Governor Pawlenty, you think people like me are the problem. You aim to change the way this party lives and breathes because it is too hard to win elections standing on firm principles and the Founder’s dreams, let alone the Constitutional powers given and refused for Government.

This party, even all us “Country Club” conservatives who happen to fear a Government that can provide anything to anyone and regulate winners and losers in the economy, is the only thing standing between populist say anything politicians like you and the socialist utopia fringe leftists dream of. You just want to win elections. They just want to destroy America as we know it.

What is right and wrong for this country is not something that can be found by polling. It is simple. Freedom, liberty, and the ability for one to pursue happiness.

And I didn’t even go into how you sold out Minnesotans on Ethanol and Bio-Diesel for a few thousand votes.

I got your fundraising letter yesterday where you asked for money ‘in case’ you run for reelection. You better hope to God you don’t have that option, because you will not even begin to feel the rejection from this party you have worked so hard to weaken. And if no one else has the cajones to stand up to you, I will.

That’s right. I’m not going to let you run unopposed in 2010, ‘in case’ you do not follow McCain to DC. It is about goll darn time someone stood up to this Democrat light populist pap you spew.

    AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

(Wow, I almost felt like Olberman’s conservative alter ego took me over for a second there)
