  • Time To Dig Deep

Posted by Andy on August 4th, 2008

We’re approaching the deadline for Minnesota House candidates to reach their fundraising threshold for public financing. That date is August 18th and they need to get at least 30 donations of $50. (please chime in if I don’t have this exact) [Source: Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board ]

So please everyone, dig in and donate to your local House candidates. It is basically free to donate to candidates for Minnesota House if you use the PCR form. You donate $50 to a candidate and the state will send you a check for $50. You can only do it once, but it is a great way to get everyone involved in the donations. ($100 per couple)

We on the right need to take full advantage of this program, especially since if our candidates don’t meet the minimum for money raised by the 18th, they can’t get public financing. I can just about guarantee you that every Democrat will do this. We need to make sure every Republican does too.

You can find a list of candidates here on the MNGOP website. Please take a moment and cut them at least a $50 check this week so they can make the threshold.
