Seething White Hot ….. Dissatisfaction With My iPhone – ATT Wireless Is An Awful Company

My iPhone is a glorified iPod around work and occasionally at home and around town. The “phone” part of it doesn’t work reliably. I’ve been getting the run around from the ATT store and Apple folks for some time now on who’s to blame. 

Well I’d about had it after a weekend of sketchy service and scores of missed calls at work so I called ATT customer service this morning. At one point I was told this is pretty common and they’ll just credit me for the phone price and let me out of my contract. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I guess not everyone can have an iPhone. 

Then at another point I got to a person who said that not only would I have to keep paying, but if I did get a new phone I’d have to pay full retail. 

Now apparently they are going to send someone out to drive around where I work to see if the cell service really does suck. It will take up to 72 hours, and if they say it is ok, then I am still going to have to pay them for a fracking service that isn’t what it is advertised to be, or reliable at all. And all that after I got juggled around from department to department for 2 and a half hours.

If you’re out there and thinking of an iPhone, make damn sure you run that bugger through all the hell you can in the 1st 2 weeks, otherwise ATT is going to screw you for the next 2 years. 

I’m going to run over to the Apple Store again tonight and see if they will try to help. One of the nice ATT customer support people told me to do that if ATT wouldn’t man up. 

ATT Wireless is an evil company. They have awful customer service people. Not all, but some of them are absolute evil. I’d rather go camping with bin Laden’s driver than deal with ATT Wireless kind of evil. 

You measure companies by their customer service and ability to serve their customers and keep them happy. It seems ATT only cares about making sure you keep paying.
