Just How Independent Is 51A Candidate Daniel Sanders (I)?
State law requires a candidate to sign an affidavit when filing to run for office. Part of that includes stating they will vote for their party’s candidates not to mention that they attended their party’s most recent precinct caucus.
Daniel Sanders ’says’ he is an Independent. (emphasis mine)
My name is Daniel Sanders.
I have made the decision to run as an Independent, endorsed by the Idependence Party. [...]
But he has donated a very sizeable chunk of money to Democrat Barack Obama, so one has to wonder what his motives are. Â
For some reason, I just have to wonder how above the table his run for the Minnesota House is, especially since he and the Democrat candidate Shawn Hamilton share such strong loyalty to Big Labor.Â
Incase Daniel Sanders isn’t aware, these are the people he is supposed to be voting for this November. The Independence Party’s Endorsed Candidates
That’s funny, I don’t see Daniel Sanders on the list of candidates. Maybe it is just an honest mistake, so I sent the following off to the Independence Party.Â
Â
Daniel Sanders claims to be endorsed by you, but I don’t see him listed on your webpage.ÂI’d also be curious to see how you tracked attendance with your Caucus being held virtually or online.ÂÂ
Sincerely,Andy A. AplikowskiÂ

I hope this ends up being a massive backfire like Sam Garst in CD2. Not only should it generate a bunch of bad publicity – especially if some links between Hamilton and Dan Sanders are found – but having an IND candidate on the ballot is almost always a bad thing for Dems. Obviously, the name similarity presents a problem, but I like to believe that most folks who are considering voting for Tim Sanders are smart enough to look at party affiliation.
Daniel Sanders is not a honest man. Ask him where he and family(Brothers and Sisters) really got all their money to start their businesses and how they got all their own businesses or dream jobs. Now running in politics. He must have alot of money to start being in politics. Boy, they must have givin him alot of money to keep his mouth shut. Talk about dirty politics.
Ask him if he pays all his employees Health Insurance and other benefits. Or…just ask the Union, they have the records. He would steel money from you if you he knew he would not get caught. This is one man you shouldn’t have in the house. We don’t need anymore dirty politics in the house. We have enough.
Reading his blog makes him sound nice and sincere..Far from it. Money hungry, greedy, liar, theif, and evil…Well, I guess you could say that all runs in his family. Anybody that votes for him does not know him. I’ll make sure everyone know what kind of person he and his family are. Everyone should get all the detail on this man before they even start to consider. Evil has NO face. That family is evil. Every single one of them. No Good could come from the Sanders Family.
To MJAY75 July 14th, 2008 at 11:55pm and all readers of this blog system:
To the person or persons who wrote the above blog. I would like to know where you get your information, or is this just a political play to denounce the candadate. First of all, if you know the alligations you are claiming to be true, I suggest you come forward with them, or this will be considered slander. As for the businesses ran by the Sanders Family, you(MJAY75)or anyone else, are free to do your own research on funding. As for dream jobs, if thats what you want, then work for it. As for Employee Health Insurance, and other benefits, I’m not sure what Union would allow any employer to not pay these benefits. But, if this is a concern to you (MJAY75) or anyone else, you are free to do your own research with the Union. As for steeling money, I suggest you have proof of this, or this will be considered slander. Your right (MJAY75), Evil has NO face, and what your trying to do here is EVIL, and you haven’t shown your face.
Andy:
If your going to quote the Minnesota Statutes, I suggest you quote them accurately. Minnesota Statute 204B.06 states, and I quote “Candidates seeking the nomination of a major political party must state that they participated in the party’s most recent precinct caucus (or) that they intend to vote for a (majority) of the party’s candidates at the next state general election Minnesota Statute 204B.06″.

You will find know links between Shawn Hamilton the Democratic Candidate and Daniel Sanders the Independent Candidate. There is know known affiliation between Daniel Sanders the Independent Candidate and Tim Sanders the Republican Candidate. This is going to be an election by the people for the people. Not by the Democratic party or the Republican Party.
