Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

An RF Update

Another crazy day here in the life of AAA, so here’ some quick shots.

Last night was a blast. Thanks to Michael and the Pu+ lads for putting it together. It was nice to get a chance to talk to some old friends after hatchets buried.

I am off to a fundraiser for Tim Sanders this morning. he’s my House candidate here in 51A. He’s got an incredible chance t picking up the open seat here. So much so that he is one a (from what I am told) just 5 MN House candidates who the Governor has done a fundraiser for.

Jesy Ventu r a is an attention whore created by cable news. I’d bet he is going to run, unless people start hammering away at what a colossal failure he was a Governor in the next week. That’s why he won’t up and say he running. As I told some folks last night, Jesy is why I am the Republican I am today. I have been doing everything I can since to make up for voting for him back then.

Let’s face it. Jesy did get new people out and involved with his “independent, not bound to party” rhetoric. Unfortunately, as Jesy learned the hard way, parties are how things get done in Government. The constant war he created by name slinging, I feel, began the big divide in this state. I think he did more to divide this state then he did to unite it, or cut through the normal politics.

Oh and one more thing. WE ARE ALREADY AT WAR WITH IRAN YOU FLAPPING MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are behind most of the insurgency in Iraq. Even some of the folks from the left side of the isle last night understand that. Because amerjinerdanerdanerjan is launching rockets to provoke us, and if we did attack him, wouldn’t be “starting a 3rd front to the war” it would be expanding the current front, or, getting to the real source of terror in the world.

Now I am not saying we should attack, but we have to keep the option on the table. My point is that Iran is already at war with us and is threatening (read: saber rattling) to blow Israel off the face of the planet.

Have a good day. AAA, Out.

Update:

I can’t believe the Strib is so willing to just run Democrat talking points that are completely and totally full of holes in the fact department. This is a shameful non-monkey column and just cause non-monkey can cut and paste liberal DC talking points into his column, doesn’t make them true.

We think we could solve our troubles if we started drilling on the outer continental shelf. Then we might be able to lower the price of gas to $3.98 gallon. Twenty years from now.

That’s because oil is priced in a global market, where the extra production would amount to a tiny drop in the world’s bucket — about 200,000 barrels a day. Whoopee.

Contrast that miniscule difference with what might be achieved by improving fuel efficiencies for cars and light trucks.

What a moron and The editors too. Do they understand that raising efficiency standards are not an overnight solution at all, and the only way it would make a difference is if we all scrapped (NOT TRADED IN, BUT SCRAPPED OUR CURRENT CARS AND TRUCKS) and bought a new tin can. The fact the Strib ran this and let non-monkey pollute the public with this junk logic and empty rhetoric is a disservice to everyone.

I may have to cancel our subscription at work over this.

Cancel your subscription at work! After last night’s bipartisan festivities, I’d have thought that you would welcome the opportunity to do “opposition research” (in other words, read the Strib).

Keep up the great work, AAA. Can’t wait to see some of the posts from the RNC Convention!!

Good thing we have all those fact-checkers over at the Strib. ANWR alone would increase our production by 1,000,000 bbl/day, and the OCS has several times the amount of oil, just as easily pumped. Yes, it’s a world market, but if our oil companies don’t have to pay shipping from Iran, plus the mullah tax, they can undercut the world price of oil on the domestic market and still make more profit. Trust me, they would. Why do you think Europeans are paying $7/gallon now? It’s not all taxes.

Same thing with fuel efficiency standards. If the auto companies could produce a 100 mpg car for the same cost as what you’re driving, don’t you think they would do it? People would buy it in a heartbeat. Government seems to think they can command the laws of physics, as well as supply and demand. Those people should be shown the door.

Me too, Andy. Big time. :-)
