Words To Live By
"The era of small government is over ... government has to be more proactive, more aggressive." ( Tim Pawlenty 2006)

"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

What A Difference ‘A Change’ Would Make In MN’s 1st

As I noted in my last post (Worthless Walz – No We Can’t Drill) there is a stark difference between the candidates in Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District. The incumbent Democrat Tim Walz is simply another Washington politician who toes the Democratic line that was drawn by their liberal special interests.

Brian Davis on the other hand is offering real solutions, to the problems that Congress has created. He too has an Op Ed in the Worthington Daily Globe on energy, but his is full of solutions to help lower our energy prices and help our economy. (Note: The economy is where you work, live, and entertain yourself.)

Here’s his closing paragraphs.

As the endorsed Republican candidate in our First Congressional District, I hear daily the personal stories of Minnesotans who are being negatively impacted by the lack of leadership from the politicians in Washington. As individuals and our Nation feel the economic straitjacket tightening, we are faced with difficult choices. Americans deserve to know what solutions our elected representatives offer so that our future is secure and our children will know the American dream.

In reality, this is a debate that reveals the stark contrast between those who have lost faith in America’s ability to do great things and those of us who know we can.

We must move forward with developing additional American energy supplies, the sooner the better.

Compare that to Walz’s doom and gloom, we can’t do anything, unreality based,  blame America’s businesses attitude, and you can see why Brian Davis is a perfect candidate to bring solutions to  Washington that will help out all Americans.

Andy, I’m sick & tired of listening to people saying we can’t [fill in the blank]. I’m especially upset with Rep. Walz, which I made abundantly clear in this post.

Actually, I asked Rep. Walz what proof he had that we can’t drill our way out of this crisis. I’m not holding my breath waiting for his reply.

Instead, I forwarded several studies provided to me by the Heritage Foundation that utterly refute the Dems’ mantra. I suggest that we send such studies to our elected officials & our candidates challenging such lightweights as Rep. Walz.
