Interfere in something "vital" (ie, raise gas taxes for transportation funding)(or subsidize ethanol) 2. Identify a problem caused by the interference in #1 (ie, gas prices are up) 3. Use the problem in #2 caused by #1 to justify even more interference 4. Repeat as necessary. This is the typical liberal approach to interfering in the market:
