You’re right, we should continue to allow 50 states to make up their own BS laws for IDs, and in doing so make them POSs that are completely unreliable and simplistic to defraud.

If there is one thing the Federal Government should be doing is to secure the border and remove anyone who shouldn’t be in this country…. from Mexico or Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately we live in a time where any weakness or seam in our security can and will be exploited for very VERY bad things.

If you think the DFL will support your values, why don’t you vote for them to represent you? Otherwise, we got the best governor on the ballot last time and I don’t think that we have conservatives to thank for that.

Also, don’t forget, we are supposed to vote Rep Abeler out this year. Maybe the DFL candidate running against him opposes Real ID for you.

I support Real ID, so in this case I’m the winner.

Right now I’m furious at Pawlenty for vetoing the stop to Real ID in MN and the supposed “conservative” legislators who wouldn’t vote to bring up a veto override (with the exception of Mark Olson and, if you can believe it, Jim Abeler). Can someone remind me why I’m a Republican again when the GOP thinks there’s no problem with throwing the Fourth Amendment onto the same ash heap as the First, Second and Tenth Amendments?
