Yes, what better then a throng of liberal Democrats to represent conservatives then a throng of liberal Republicans with the exact same message and agenda.... only that the party actually goes out and defends the Liberal Republicans..... the Republican Party that is.

And then we can look at Gov. Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhnnnnnooooooolllllllllddddddddddd and see the future of Republican politics is we just sit back and let the liberal wannabe Democrats have their way. Of more in line with most people in the powerbroker ranks is that we conservatives hut up when a liberal Republican is elected.

I'm sorry but independents is a fake term made up by the self identified moderates who are too embarrassed to call themselves the liberal tax and spenders that they really are.

I'm waiting for the day that some self serving Republican actually tries to call themselves a "progressive Republican". Oh boy, that one will definitely put my blood pressure at nuclear limits.

A whole legislature full of RINOs would have done better.

Right, you got it. A whole caucus of RINO's would have done a better job then the DFL'ers could ever do. But as conservatives, it's not about getting a better result, it's about teaching the RINO's (any republican we disagree with more than 2%) a lesson. Please try to keep focused or we may unfortunately elect Republican's we disagree with again Nov. Remember, that's the worst thing that could happen to conservatives. Much worse then being represented by liberal DFL'ers.

Oh sheesh.

You're right, we should continue to allow 50 states to make up their own BS laws for IDs, and in doing so make them POSs that are completely unreliable and simplistic to defraud.

Yes, the way we are doing things right now is just going swell isn't it?

If there is one thing the Federal Government should be doing is to secure the border and remove anyone who shouldn't be in this country.... from Mexico or Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately we live in a time where any weakness or seam in our security can and will be exploited for very VERY bad things.

Real ID is full-blown, big brother, nanny statism. There's nothing conservative about that, but it does seem to fall in line with the current GOP bent in favor of big government.

Wait a minute. Is anybody seriously suggesting that the DFL be allowed to do MORE damage than they've already done? A whole legislature full of RINOs would have done better. Thank Heavens for the small minority of Republicans and the Governor for stopping as much of the nonsense as they did!

Bmetzler, who needs the DFL to destroy MN when we’ve got Pawlenty to do that?

If you think the DFL will support your values, why don't you vote for them to represent you? Otherwise, we got the best governor on the ballot last time and I don't think that we have conservatives to thank for that.

Also, don't forget, we are supposed to vote Rep Abeler out this year. Maybe the DFL candidate running against him opposes Real ID for you.

I support Real ID, so in this case I'm the winner.

Bmetzler, who needs the DFL to destroy MN when we've got Pawlenty to do that?

Right now I'm furious at Pawlenty for vetoing the stop to Real ID in MN and the supposed "conservative" legislators who wouldn't vote to bring up a veto override (with the exception of Mark Olson and, if you can believe it, Jim Abeler). Can someone remind me why I'm a Republican again when the GOP thinks there's no problem with throwing the Fourth Amendment onto the same ash heap as the First, Second and Tenth Amendments?
