Nobody broke any chains and took control, as there were no "chains" to be broken. A nominating committee exists for a reason. Take Rudy for example... the guy is a self described libertarian who ripped Senator McCain in his literature. Not that we don't have a place for folks like him in the party, but this is hardly the kind of person we want to send to the national convention. I also noticed Rudy failed to mention who he lost to on the final ballot, that being Jennifer Wilson. This defeat must have been particularly stinging as he goes after Jennifer's daughter in his press release. Perhaps he needs a few more years of experience and maturity before seeking such a position in the future. The three delegates elected were approved by the nominating committee. Too bad he missed a delegate spot (missed it by "that" much), but he really did the right thing here and succceeded in opening the process of nominating and choosing delegates. He's right. The delegates are supposed to be in charge, but some people want to usurp the process. I'm proud of the 8th CD delegates for breaking the chains and taking control of their convention.
