		<description>Funny how the people that promote "choice" only want the choices they agree with.  Here is why I don't use the new fluorescent bulbs:
They don't work when it is cold.  That negates their use in my unheated garage or yard/porch lights.  According to manufacturer instructions on every brand I've examined, they can't be used on timers, which I use to reduce the electricity I use for outdoor lighting.  They can't be used on dimmers, which I also use to reduce the amount of electricity I use.  Manufacturers recommend they not be used for lights that aren't on for short periods of time. In my house we shut off the lights when they are not being used, so most are not on more than very long.</description>
