Obama’s Big Racist Speech - Wretched Hypocrisy
Posted by Andy on March 18th, 2008
OK, we all know Obama is trying to stake his campaign on how he is more anti-war than Hillary. He has hung his hat many times how she voted for the war. How she didn’t do anything top stop ‘Bush’s war’.
Well in his big racial speech today he admitted he was in the church when his America hating racist preacher made ‘controversial statements’ and yet he did nothing. He did not stand up and challenge the lies, racist, and hateful remarks. He sat there and let his country be torn apart and racially divided by a man of the clothe. A brave leader who transcends race and has a vision of one America would have done something before those comments derailed his express train to the Democratic nomination.
Because Barrack Obama sat there and did nothing when his country was lied about and attacked from the pulpit, he has no business being the leader of this country. And when he kept going back to the church and never saw the need to address the hate for America that flowed from his church until today, he doesn’t deserve to even run to be the leader of this country.

he said he was present when the preacher made ‘controversial statements’, but still says he was not present when the comments that the news have been playing over and over again, fwiw, just to clarify.
also, Mike Huckabee, a preacher himself, defended Jeremiah Wright:

also… “derailed his express train to the Democratic nomination.”
for one, express train to the nomination? up until January Barack was ALWAYS the underdog (and still is for the most part), so i’d hardly call it an “express train”, and he’ll still win the nomination regardless of this controversy.

I’m pretty sure I heard him say he was there for some controversial statements.
Still the underdog? Really? Do tell. Because that million “popular” vote lead all the talking heads are spouting, on top of the Delegate lead, not to mention the outright demand for superdelegates to abide by the will of the general election Primary results sure seems to add up to a Obama nomination to me. Oh, and I’ll toss you a bone. Yes, the election technically started in January. Good point.
Huckabee is, as in most cases, dead wrong. (I’ll post more on that later, when and if I have time. )

no you’re right, he did say he had heard some controversial statements, just apparently not the ones in question (which he denounced). i’m not saying i’m happy with his association and Wrights comments, but i also don’t find them overly offensive or shocking when you compare to the Falwell’s, etc. of the world either. I can see how some people would though, certainly.
As for him still being the underdog, well in terms of the Clinton machine, sure. In terms of his lead, no, he’s not an underdog anymore.
as for Huckabee, while i find his policies frightening, personality wise, he’s probably got the best personality of any candidate on either side i’ve always thought.
