RF One is back with me, turns out I didn’t put the $2 o-ring on right when i changed the fuel filter….. $270 later….. My 4 nephews in Chicago don’t have their desks I was going to drive down and I don’t get to hang with them.
Traveling sucks! Wait, planning a trip to DC when you haven’t done so in the modern era (where you no longer get tickets from the Dayton’s basement) sucks. Man have they made it confusing, not to mention a price gouging racket. I found out I had a super fantabulous opportunity in DC in mid-April 2 weeks ago. Last weekend we (GF & I) checked flights and hotels on Saturday night. By Sunday, just hours later, the prices rose A LOT! By the time I had time to buy the tickets this week, the prices doubled.
State bureaucracies that control businesses have no bleeping clue what they are requiring. I failed one of the 2 tests I took Wednesday by one question. Even the test clerk-lady-person, was bummed. Which was great since I aced the one relating to my industry, but failed the other half by one question since I had no clue what was going to be tested. Further post test review lead me to determine that some of the material I was tested on was non-germane…. requests from DOLI on the subject have not yet been returned.
Storm sewers suck! We’ve had a bunch of them at work freezing up this week, and the only way to remedy the problem is to steam them. Not fun! Trust me! Yesterday was my day.
Politics: Well, the DFL is overreaching like no one has to pay. Tax this, mandate that, unaccountability is the status quo, socialism is the norm in both state and federal governments. As for local…. well, bend over and give me your wallet seems to sum it up nicely.
Politics (internal): Seems spats from the past can bite you in the butt in the present. Let’s just say that I wonder why I bother somedays.
I am off to a surprise weekend in the Twin Cities where I get to hang with the girlfriend and watch the final tourney of some youth hockey for a great kid. MOOOOOVVVVE!!!!!!!! (Inside joke)
The trip to the Windy City is being rescheduled, so is the retest for the bean counters. My wallet is 4 digits lighter for various reasons and all unexpectedly. My nerves are on edge. And thanks be that a post I intended to throw up this afternoon got eaten and never made it.
Have a great weekend folks, no clue if I will be posting on the poopiness that took place during the week in the Legsilature or in Congress. I don’t think I could do so in a PG-13 manor. DFLers suck. So do County Commissioners. So do national Dems and their preachers who hate the America I love.
