  • The Great Pork Bill Of 2008

Posted by Andy on March 7th, 2008

Rep. Tom Emmer (R Delano) was on KTLK 100.3FM this morning with Dan Conry. Emmer said that “The bonding bill includes $ 20 million in projects for the Republicans, the rest is all DFL.” Conry interrupted before he finished, but it is an election year, and the DFL are a bunch of….

The total bonding bill is nearly a billion dollars, and just $20 million is being sent into Republican Districts, now I know there aren’t many Republicans left, but doesn’t that seem just a little fishy? Well, not fishy, but a terrible way to abuse power?

I find it terribly hard to believe that the only projects worth bonding for just so happen to be in DFL Districts. Well, if you are a DFLer, they are the only Districts worth spending money to buy votes in.
