From the INBOX: How Soon They Forget

Here’s a few more Reality Checks for you to use regarding the transit Tax increase.
These legislators conveniently forget the $17 billion needed for our roads in the next ten years.
They ignore those “unprecedented coalition of business, labor, civic and agricultural groups” are all special interest groups lobbying for their interests instead of the best interests of the taxpayers.
They forget that $1.1 billion from the pockets of all Minnesotans will be now permanently directed toward transit instead of roads and bridges, infrastructure, public safety or other programs.
They forgot the transit revenue sources needed to obtain federal grants for light and heavy rail comes from OUR Federal gas tax dollars that we pay.
They forget the metro wide sales tax happened WITHOUT A VOTER REFERENDUM.
They forget increased costs to businesses will be passed on to the citizens. This will drive up the cost of goods and services costing us all more money for basic needs.
They admit investment in the transportation infrastructure is long overdue and long neglected. In other words the legislators did not do their jobs.
They were so generous with our money they gave a tax credit to anyone who files for it to compensate for higher costs….you don’t even need to own a car.
They tried to call this a jobs bill, channel 5 already proved those inflated numbers were just another lie.
Any bets on if property taxes will go down? They think we are stupid.
They think money grows on trees and we taxpayers are the trees.
County Boards have to pass the tax increase in the 7 County metro, and Ramsey and Hennepin are trying to bully their little brother and sister commissioners to pass the tax and join the new uber bureaucratic Joint Powers lobbying group.

There’s Still A Chance Of Blocking A Portion Of The Tax Increases
Call your Commish and give them a few of the line above!
