Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

February 25, 2008 – The Day Minnesota Became #1

#1 in total tax burden that is.

DON’T LET THAT HAPPEN!

The DFL House is going to try to override the veto today, and they are boasting that they have the votes. Unfortunately Gov. Pawlenty has felt it more important to be in Washington rubbing elbows, rather than back home twisting Republican arms to sustain his veto. He left the heavy burden of holding Republicans accountable to the grassroots activists this weekend, and we did just that. But unfortunately, Tinglestad, Erhardt, Hamilton, Peterson, & Heidgerken are back in the midst of liberal tax and spend special interests and corrupt DFLers. We have just a few hours to right the wrong that is the Transit tax bill. I still haven’t met one single person face to face who supports this bill. Granted I haven’t seen any DFL elected officials, or wayward (R)s for that matter. Conservative activists triumphed last week and over the weekend, but we haven’t made it through the finish line yet. We’re on the final turn, and the finish line is in sight. We need to make sure they sustain the veto and block $7 billion in new taxes with out true solutions to our transportation problems.

Call your State Legislators! All of them. And make sure you remind the 6 Republicans who voted for the bill that we will not overlook their votes anymore.

Rep. Jim Abeler of Anoka – (651) 296-1729 – rep.jim.abeler@house.mn
Rep. Ron Erhardt of Edina – (651) 296-436 – rep.ron.erhardt@house.mn
Rep. Bud Heidgerken of Freeport – (651) 296-4317 – rep.bud.heidgerken@house.mn
Rep. Neil Peterson of Bloomington – (651) 296-7803 – rep.neil.peterson@house.mn
Rep. Kathy Tinglestad of Andover – (651) 296-5369 – rep.kathy.tingelstad@house.mn
Rod Hamilton (R) 22B (651) 296-5373 – rep.rod.hamilton@house.mn

Accountability is not a river in Asia. Stop the massive tax increase and power grab. Tell them to sustain the veto.
