How About We Just Ban Stupidity And Get It Over With?
The wanna-be Nanny in Chief of Congress has once again tried to save us from ourselves.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Senate on Thursday approved and sent to President George W. Bush legislation aimed at reducing “backover” auto accidents that are particularly dangerous for children.
[...]
The legislation was sponsored by Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York. Key Republicans, including New Hampshire’s John Sununu, also backed the measure.
[siiggghhhhh]
How about we start to publicly flog people too damn busy talking on their cell phone to turn their head around who’ve backed over a kid or into another car, in the public square?
Or maybe every shopping mall can have a wall of shame at every doorway for the idiots who didn’t look before they backed up where their pictures can be shamefully displayed to mall goers.
I’m sorry, I know this is going to seem insensitive, but folks,
we’re surrounded by idiots,
and it is high time we stop governing America by the lowest common denominator. Â
