  • DFL Agenda For 08 Session Doesn’t Poll Well

Posted by Andy on February 14th, 2008

KSTP did a comprehensive poll on some Minnesota political issues. You can find it here. At the bottom of the page, you can see that pretty much everything the DFL proposed already this session is strongly unfavored by Minnesota’s citizens.

I think this may be my favorite one.

If the state budget deficit increases, which of the following should be done to balance the budget? Increase the income tax? Increase other taxes and fees? Cut spending? Should all of those things be done? Or should none of these things be done?
    7% Increase The Income Tax
11% Increase Other Taxes And Fees
    58% Cut Spending
    17% All Of These
    5% None Of These
    3% Not Sure

Overwhelmingly, Minnesotans have a conservative opinion on state spending when a deficit is in play.
