I’d challenge the DFL Straw Poll results. The Presidential Preference poll is part of caucus and Caucus officially couldn’t start until 7:00PM, so any votes cast before 7 should not have been counted. Just a thought, I know there are smarter people working on the fact that the Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie (a DFLer) was telling people to they could vote not only early in the GOP Caucs, but also that they could simply vote and leave. That is not the case, but nice try pal.
I’m not the biggest fan of the Caucus system. I’ve been working on it all week, and so have others in My BPOU, as I have heard in others. Of course we can never do our work fast enough for candidates. Well, if everyone showed up to Caucus knowing what to do and what Precinct they were in, things would go smoother. If people would print their names clearly so they could be read, it would go smoother. If the quadruple increase in attendance was a regular occurence we could plan on the large venues to provide a comfortable environment, but since we’ll probably not see such a crowd in my lifetime, and bigger venues cost the local Par ty units a lot of money, that ain’t gonna go smoother.
As I was saying this weekend and all this week. I hate Democracy. Precinct Caucus is as close to it as we can get. It takes so much work to plan for, execute, and deal with in the following days that I am just kinda of not very enamored with it.
Anyways. yes. Back to it AAA. And hopefully Ritchie and the DFL get busted on this one.

I am so glad I was not the only one who ran into that. We had so many people who were so mad at us when we told them that was not how we did things….

Sorry that I missed it! I’m at a tourney in Brainerd. You’ll sympathize, myself and one other dad are trying to control 15 hockey players plus siblings while their parents are out living it up!
