Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

Why Not McCain?

For those of you who have short memories, I give you the John McCain most of us remember and oppose to be our Republican candidate.

John McCain: La Raza’s voice in Washington
By Michelle Malkin • February 4, 2008 01:46 PM

Go read the whole post. There’s tons of links and info about the real John McCain. He’s undergone a transformation of late, and the aristocracy of the Republican party is trying to tell you he is perfect for this party. I really can’t agree less, I think he would be devastating for this party since on his core policies, he aligns with the radical Democratic agenda.

On the issue of Amnesty, McCain is tiptoeing the rhetorical line. He is factually accurrate when he says his bill won’t come before him as President. That’s true, a President can’t introduce legislation, they need a member of both Houses of Congress to do that for them. Unfortunately, for McCain, his name appears on quite a few lefty bills with uber liberal Democrats, and in the case of Amnesty, that Democrat was Ted Kennedy.

Would McCain veto a bill that had Amnesty in it? Change the name and call it a ‘pathway to citizenship’, would he support it? Will he really secure the border?

I will not vote for John McCain, no matter what party he calls home.
