Mark Levin cleverly blistered McCain, saying that he (Levin) was upset with all the GOP candidates and would vote third party. He detailed what he was looking for, like limiting CEO pay to $5 million, reducing the patent on drugs to 5 years, win in Iraq but then take a breather from the world stage. Not knowing where he was going, I was starting to worry.

But then he (Levin) finished saying if that offended you as a Conservative then why the hell are some you out there supporting John McCain? Great radio, and right on point.

There is another very telling difference between McCain and Thompson. The media loves McCain and despises Thompson.

Let's not forget that McCain's very stature exists because the media propped him up every time he obstructed his own party. They give McCain hero status not for his war record, but because heroically defies the Republican Party. When Senator's Lieberman and Zell Miller defied their party's stance on Iraq, they were shunned by the media. McCain is affectionately called a "maverick", but not Lieberman or Miller.

Regarding the Iraq War, McCain gets very few points from me. He was AWOL when Democrats levied lie after lie about President Bush's actions and our progress in Iraq. He even had a knack of becoming a thorn in the administration's side just when a Democrat campaign of demagoguery against the White House reached fever pitch. Then, when one of these campaigns started losing steam, McCain would suddenly back the President and later take credit for President Bush's successes with the war.

But, back to my original point. The media has been eager to advise Thompson and Romney about dropping out. Yet, they treat McCain and Huckabee as inevitable. They never offer their advise to the latter two candidates about when they should drop out.

Now, lets be honest here. The media doesn't want Huckabee or McCain to be President. They want Barack-O-Hillary. There flagrant promotion of Huckabee and McCain is not for the benefit of Republican supporters, it is to depress the voter turnout from the Republican base and help Barack-O-Hillary win the White House.
