  • Ch-ch-change - Saying It Is Easy

Posted by Andy on January 7th, 2008

“Change has been a part of every election since the dawn of elections, if you weren’t an incumbent. I think that what’s more important is leadership and what is more important, as a part of leadership, is telling the American people the truth and having the courage to do that.”

    - Fred Thompson, Fox News Debate, 1/6/08

Much like we saw during the 2006 elections, the idea of ‘change’ has taken root again in the rhetoric, but if we look at the change Congress has done, one may want to reevaluate exactly what they are trying to change. Do we really want to send some one who is just another populist trying to sway votes with promises to change something, despite a record of doing the opposite? Do we really want to send someone to the White House who can’t honestly answer questions about their past because they know that his answer will prove he was not an agent for change? Do we really need another class envy person to further divide our nation based on economic well being?

If you ask me, no we don’t.
