Barring “Pillow Talk” - Now Is Not The Time (Part 2)

Yes, that wins ONE election, but……
It does not build a movement or propel conservative issues to the forefront and change policy. A candidate that has to transform their platform to meet the polls is as unreliable as the UN Security Council. That is the model for the Republican party now its seems. Rather than stand for principle, and try to convert others to think like and agree with conservative thought, conservatism is the first item tossed overboard in many cases.
The Rove model for winning elections worked, twice, maybe 3 times. Now the party is in shambles. There is a battle being waged on a daily basis between the grassroots and Party leaders over the message and agenda of the party. All that the ruling class in the party simply care about is winning, and if that means a liberal in Elephant’s clothes, ‘what’s the problem, its a win in their eyes. Meanwhile The grassroots is demanding conservative principles from someone to return this Party to greatness through advocating for conservative issues.
As you all can see from many of the major issues being pushed by Republicans, there is not much, if any for conservatives to be proud of. Spending is up. Government is getting bigger and less “better”. Dependency is on Government is growing. Liberty is on the decline as a result, and with that tax increases are looming in the future.
Stay tuned. More is to come. Big long rant about how Republicans are destined to repeat their mistakes, especially if they cannot even acknowledge them. You know me.
