Pawlenty is realizing it ain’t easy being green.

Governors in Kansas and Minnesota have committed their state governments to having more energy-efficient computer systems.

They have made their states the first to join a computer industry initiative designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and conserve electricity.

Minnesota Republican Tim Pawlenty and Kansas Democrat Kathleen Sebelius pledged to have their states purchase more efficient computers and servers. They also promised systemwide controls causing desktop computers to sleep each evening.

That’s right we’re soon gonna see productivity caps in state offices. One would think union demands would have already managed that. But seriously, this is what we citizens have to look forward to if we allow our Government to believe humans are the sole creator of global warming, and act.

Our electricity consumption is growing with all the gadgets and gizmos. And what is the solution being proposed to deal with that? And increase in cheap reliable electricity? Nope. Buy something new and mandate “renewable” sources.

This new greening of our State Government is just the beginning. Them telling you what you can and cannot do is next.

Maybe we could consider a a nuke plant or 2?
