Uninspired
I’m just not feeling any desire to blog much, so here are a few more random thoughts.
1) I caught some of the GOP POTUS debate, and well. Huckabee’s Mother thing was kinda creepy. Sure funny, as planned, but still, creepy. Norman Bates – creepy.
I happened to tune in right at the point where they were talking environmental issues, and well, it is good to know that the environutter special interests are non partisan.
Good grief, does anyone have to courage to call ethanol what it really is, a farm subsidy? It seems pretty clear to me that we will have to replace our entire energy and transportation systems whichever party wins the White House. I hope you don’t like you car or furnace too much, or can afford to buy a new one.
2) If my meeting last night is any indication, I am not alone in my concerns with Republicans in DC. And if this email comment is any indication, well, we got issues.
Ok, so lots of people have seen the light. Does that mean anything? Will they do anything? Honestly, looking at what the libs are doing, getting in on at the lowest levels, WE need to be doing that. I know that I’m preaching to the choir, but wouldn’t a true grass roots movement focus on the local stuff in order to be successful later? Oh wait, that inspiration should come from the RPM. Silly me.
Yeah, I know lots of us are critical, and they are trying, but there is no prize for second place in elections.
3) It seems that Carol Molnau is being thrown to the wolves. No Republicans seem inclined to help defend her, nor does she seem to be willing to stand toe to toe and fight back against the ridiculous DFL attacks. The DFL is dragging their feet on bridge funding action, and are instead on a witch hunt. And where is Pawlenty?
4) SCHIPs, if it passes with Republican support, may be the final straw for conservatives. This one issue may be the rallying cry for conservative Republican activists to take this party back.
It should be clear as day that when fringe liberal groups that are in bed with socialist nanny staters like Schrillary, it is something Republicans should oppose. Limited Government is not possible when Government continues to grow and grow and grow, and take care of us from cradle to grave.
If Republicans vote for this, or to override the veto, I’m willing to bet the gloves will come off. You’ll either see an all out war in the GOP for control, including primary challenges, or you will see a base completely demoralized.
Look, why in the heck will people donate, work, and spend hundreds of hours trying to get someone elected that is going to vote the opposite way they want? They can easily get that by doing nothing.
5) Oh, and it is MOB election time. Yeah, I think I upset da Jimmy Carter of the MOB, Learned Foot. So he is holding the Mayoral elections. I can let you know I have already begun to smear my potential replacements.
6) And finally, beware of potpies! Becareful with them dang things. there is a current salmonella scare and recall going on with them. Plus, I found out that if you have had one sitting in the back of the freezer for 3 years, you really shouldn’t eat it.
And with that, I have the wake this evening, and the funeral tomorrow. Take care and be nice. And thanks again to all who sent condolences.

You didn’t upset Foot, you knob. The MOB elections are held every October.
