RINO To Become DINO, Run for 3rd

Soros rent-a-journalist Eric Black is reporting:
James B. Hovland, the Republican mayor of Edina, will be switching to the DFL and is seriously contemplating entering the race for the Dem nomination for the open Third District congressional seat.
Hovland will be meeting with representatives of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee shortly (possibly tomorrow) to get acquainted and talk about the race.
I haven’t spoken to Hovland, this information is guaranteed from someone who has it from Hovland.
According to one of my friends who happens to know Hovland, he is a HUGE Ron Earhardt fan.

Too bad, the Republicans are letting another one slip away……

I believe you never answered the question of whether you would vote for and or support a real conservative Republican.

I’m curious Brent…..given a choice between Terri Bonoff and Rich Stanek - who would you vote for (assuming they a. run and b. get endorsed)…between Jim Hovland and Eric Paulson (same assumptions as before).
I would be interested to see your answer.

Terri Bonoff (D) and Rich Stanek (R)…. Easy, I volunteered on Rich Stanek’s sheriff campaign last year, although I hope he doesn’t run as I think that he is a great Hennepin County Sheriff. If he did decide to run, it would be easy to endorse him.
Jim Hovland (D) or Erik Paulsen (R)….. I’d vote for Erik Paulsen in this case.
I don’t think the question is who would I vote for on the ballot. As a Republican, I’m going to vote for the R. I think that is what being a Republican means.
I think the more important question is who are the delegates going to endorse and are they able to win? If they are not able to win, why waste the effort?

” If they are not able to win, why waste the effort?”
Simple according to your standards, they are Republicans.
