  • Well Played?

Posted by Andy on September 24th, 2007

Did the Columbia President (???) just get a brutal dictator to sit down and get a verbal smackdown?

His intro was incredibly well done, and maybe the outrage over this whole thing was overblown.

    One Response to “Well Played?”

    1. Nordeaster Says:

Yes, the event was well played to American viewers. It was handled fairly well, but you still can’t give this looney legitimacy.

The problem is back home on Iranian TV, the only parts shown will be the pieces where the some of the useless idiots in the audience applaud whackjobs babblings about a referndum in Palestine or Iran being a victim of terror too. They will not see the rest. This is the danger to giving him the platform.

Some of the smackdown portion will leak to the few in Iran who can view western or uncensored blogs and unfiltered media sites. A good thing, but that is a small minority.

I especially loved when the audience outright laughed in his face.
