Rep Phyllis Kahn (D 59B) was on KTLK yesterday with Rep. Marty Seifert (R 21A). During her appearance she spoke of her plan for the gas tax.
She wants a 10 cent increase to the existing 20 cent tax, plus she wants to add the regular sales tax to gas purchases.
So your $3 a gallon gas would now cost you $3.28 a gallon.
Good gravy, does she think the average working family is made of money? I hope the podcast is made available on this one, she was in pure unadulterated liberal tax increasing DFL form.
Adding the 6.5% sales tax to gasoline which is already taxed at about that same rate…. geegads! That’s doubling the tax burden of Minnesotans. Oh wait, more than that, she wants to crank up the regular per gallon gas tax on top of that.
All the DFLers can do is try to figure out how to suck more and more of our hard earned money from our wallets. These people have to be stopped while there is still some form of freedom and economy left in Minnesota.
