Collins Spots Strib Smear

Bob Collins of Polinaut has caught the Strib up to their usual tactics. Smearing Republicans any which way they can.
I usually don’t get too involved in the usual braying over the alleged political leaning of the Star Tribune, but I make an exception in the story about the arrest of Tim Droogsma, a former press secretary to a U.S. senator and a Minnesota governor, in a prostitution sting on St. Paul’s East side yesterday.
In it the Strib goes out of its way…. way out of its way to try to smear another Republican recently making positive news.
Journalistically speaking, this sentence is legit:
Droogsma was a spokesman for Sen. Rudy Boschwitz in the late 1980s and Gov. Arne Carlson in the early 1990s.
But the next sentence — or continuation of the above — violates every ethical principle in the book.Recently, he publicly supported a candidate seeking to replace state Rep. Steve Sviggum. All three elected officials were Republicans.
I’m wondering if the next time the RINO Carlson wants to attack the conservative Republicans, the Strib will point out that Carlson’s former Press Secretary was busted in a prostitution sting?
For the record, the Strib is talking about Steve Drazkowski, who was not arrested yesterday, does not appear to have employed Droogsma and I’m guessing doesn’t buy into the fact that Republicans are more inclined to solicit hookers. And let’s face it, that’s what the Strib was trying to say here.
Collins hits it out of the park there. They and their allies in the smear-o-sphere make guilt by loose association an art form. Whether it be having been in the same room or appeared with say Mark Olson on the campaign trail, or being supported by this boob, the Strib thinks that you’re guilty.
Shameful, very very shameful.
Minnesota Truly needs someplace else to get their news and opinion. Mitch and the F Dogs are onto something I have thought Minnesota needed for a long time. The center right thinking Minnesotans read this garbage from the Strib and assume that everyone they could vote for is a criminal, and get demoralized.
If only there was something up here in the North where people could find the other side of the story from a conservative perspective.
